What is Dysport®?
It is similar to Botox® in that Dysport® acts as a neuromodulator. Dysport® temporarily relaxes muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles when you make facial expressions. Dysport® and Botox® differ in the following ways:
- Dysport® treatments take two to five days to produce full results, while Botox® injections can take four to seven days.
- It spreads more effectively in the skin than Botox®
How does DYSPORT® help reduce the effects of aging?
- A minimally invasive procedure
- The results last between three and six months
- The treatment lasts between 15 and 30 minutes
- Reduces wrinkles around the eyes and on the forehead
INJECTIONS WITH DYSPORT®: WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Through a series of injections using a small needle, Dysport® is administered. Upon insertion, you may feel a slight prick. Several days after injections, wrinkles may be less obvious, but full results may not appear for a few days. The injections may cause some mild and localized bleeding, swelling, and tenderness for the first 24 to 48 hours.
Dysport® treatments typically last three to four months, but this varies from patient to patient. Touch-ups should be performed every four months in general.
