FAQ
How soon will I be able to resume my daily activities?
Thanks to the atraumatic surgical technique we use and modern anesthesia, after a breast augmentation intervention, the patient will quickly resume her activity. Thus: after the intervention, which lasts on average 1.5 hours, the recovery is fast, not needing more than 24 hours of rest or hospitalization. Afterwards, daily activities can be resumed without problems, although it is possible to experience discomfort, manifested in most cases as a muscle fever, stinging and the sensation of swollen breasts. These phenomena diminish rapidly in the first week.
Will I be able to breastfeed?
From the studies carried out and from the experience of my patients, breastfeeding after a breast implant can be done without problems. Of course, the method by which the implants were inserted is very important, so that the galactophorous channels are not affected. Otherwise, the choice is a personal decision. Depending on your particularities, the plastic surgeon can offer you all the options in detail to make the choice that suits you.
Where are the implants inserted?
Depending on your preference and the anatomical features of the breasts (asymmetrical breasts, hypo- or hyper-developed mammary glands, the size of the areola-nipple complex) the incisions can be placed under the breast, periareolar, axillary, supraumbilical. Regardless of the location, placed correctly, the scars after a breast implant are small and do not pose problems from an aesthetic point of view. As for the location of the implant, there are two possibilities: in front or under the pectoral muscle. (Ask and ask the plastic surgeon for detailed explanations during the consultation)
