What is blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty is part of the range of cosmetic facial surgery that through the changes brought to the eye region causes a real process of rejuvenation and illumination of the face. The intervention is addressed to both eyelids and consists in removing excess skin and fat (bags under the eyes).

In the case of blepharoplasty, the plastic surgeon will inform you about the location of future incisions and will assess with you the need to combine blepharoplasty with other therapeutic facial rejuvenation procedures. One of the most common combinations is represented by the use of botulinum toxin at the same time, resulting in the disappearance of the tired appearance, the face as a whole offering a fresher, brighter appearance.
