What is a thigh lift?
The purpose of thigh lift surgery is to remove excess skin and fat from the thighs in order to improve the appearance of the thighs. In most cases, the procedure is performed on people who have lost a significant amount of weight. This results in excess skin and fat on their thighs that do not respond to diet or exercise. A thigh lift can be performed on either the inner or outer thighs, or on both. A general anesthetic is usually administered during the procedure, which involves making an incision in the skin to remove unwanted fat. The incision can be made on the inner thigh, along the groin crease, or on the outer thigh, depending on the patient’s needs. After excess skin and fat have been removed, theskin is tightened and the incision is closed with sutures.
